Paradigm Reference Prestige 95F Loudspeakers
Paradigm has branched out from its self-imposed conventions in fabulous, Canadian-made style. The Reference Prestige 95F is a beauty of a loudspeaker, especially in its optional Midnight Cherry finish, the quality of which easily exceeded even my high standards. With a sophisticated, cultured sound and bass extension to die for, the flagship of Paradigm's new Prestige line is as arresting to listen to as it is to look at. Paradigm appears to have come up with another winner!
Paradigm Prestige 95F Floorstanding Speaker Reviewed
There are so many things about the Paradigm's Prestige 95F floorstanding speaker that are worthy of discussion... Its inverted Active Ridge Technology surrounds, for example, which give the woofers greater excursion with less distortion and allowed Paradigm to really play around with crossover points in interesting ways... The exquisite design of the voice coil motors and internal wiring and all of the other components that most people will never have a chance to see. I intended to talk about all of that. I really did. But the fact of the matter is that, when I sit down in front of these speakers, I simply forget about all of it. For that matter, given a recording of sufficient fidelity, I forget about the speakers altogether most of the time. I can't tell you that this is exactly what you should look for in a passive loudspeaker. I won't tell you you're wrong if your tastes lean in other directions. But for me, the Prestige 95F presses all of the right buttons.

And never once did I feel deprived. Even in my large space, the Prestige 95Fs seemed content with what might be viewed today as average power. Like any speaker, of course, they could be turned up until either the amp or the speakers screamed uncle. I never reached that point'I stopped short of levels clearly higher than my normal listening. I also tried the Paradigms with some challenging video sound, using a generic center-channel speaker and subwoofer, at levels that made me fear for my new neighborhood's torches-and-pitchforks brigade. I found the Paradigms immensely rewarding in this application. Though that's not my beat for this review, it did suggest that the Prestige 95Fs are likely to satisfy with dynamic, challenging two-channel material, even when driven by a modestly powered amplifier in a large space...the Prestige 95F offers a ton of value and performance... I heard no consistent problems in the speaker's upper midrange and low treble. The Paradigms produced none of the more common, obvious colorations associated with less-than-optimal dispersion... The 95Fs also excelled at imaging and depth, even with a large, flat-screen HDTV sitting between them... I strongly recommend that those looking for speakers in this price range give the Paradigm Prestige 95F a serious audition.
Paradigm Prestige Series Surround System Review
These speakers seriously rocked on movies and the performance on two-channel music was so intoxicating that sometimes I started to feel the speakers were tailor made for whatever song I was listening to until the next song came on and then I thought the speakers were made just for that song. This is what you get with properly engineered speakers ' you get performance that works for all sorts of material and uses. It's because these speaker pass the signal with the least interpretation or distortion on their part.
Stereophile Recommended Component 2019
The top model in Paradigm's midprice Prestige series, the Canada-made 95F is a 2.5-way bass-reflex floorstander with a 1" aluminum-dome tweeter and no fewer than three 8" aluminum-cone woofers, one of which goes all the way up to 2kHz. (The other two venture no higher than 400Hz.) All drivers are proprietary, the tweeter being distinguished by a Perforated Phase Alignment (PPA) lens that appears, at first glance, to be a simple protective screen. The hefty (98 lb) MDF enclosure rests on aluminum outriggers with adjustable feet; two pairs of binding posts are provided, to enable biwiring where desired.

A 5.5-inch surround with carbon-infused polypropylene cone with a larger PPA lens handles the midrange frequency driver, and two 5.5-inch ART surround polypropylene cones provide the bottom end.
