Paradigm has remained in the loudspeaker performance/value forefront for decades, a position that's not going to change with the Monitor Series 7...the Paradigm system reviewed here is ridiculously good... it delivers natural tonal balance, serious bass extension, impressively clean dynamic range and transient punch, and tight, stable imaging in generous, well-balanced measure, with cosmetics and fit'n'finish that will satisfy most and should offend none. Unhesitatingly recommended.

Paradigm's Monitor Series 7 home-theater system is a step up in performance from the previous Monitor Series, with improvements that include new and better drivers, a new configuration for the surround speakers, and surprising subwoofer performance from a small package. This is remarkable... well worth hearing at your Paradigm dealer.

...the Monitors were immensely satisfying on both music and movies. I never felt the need to rush through a listening session. In fact, on both movies and music, each session often lasted far longer than I had planned. If you're shopping in this price range, or even twice that, you need to audition the Monitor Series 7.

Paradigm's Monitor Series 7 system offers a well-balanced mix of virtues while upholding the model line's hard won reputation for value-first engineering. There was no audible gap between the Monitor 7s and the matching center channel... Dialog, despite the chaos and destruction occurring on-screen, was intelligible and clear.... Paradigm's Monitor line of speakers has always been one of my affordable favorites and with the introduction of their latest version, Version 7, they'll remain one of favorites a while longer.

A 5.5-inch surround with carbon-infused polypropylene cone with a larger PPA lens handles the midrange frequency driver, and two 5.5-inch ART surround polypropylene cones provide the bottom end.
