About Us

Even though drivers are on the front of a speaker’s enclosure, sound also comes from the enclosure itself — top, bottom, sides and back. Although at a much lower level, this will combine with the front hemisphere output to produce the speaker’s total sound power — the actual summed output that is heard.

To measure the total sound power of a speaker, Paradigm engineers continue to measure all around the top, bottom, sides and back of the speaker, again in 15°increments. They can then look for and control any remaining deficiencies.

This exhaustive measurement analysis ensures that the speaker will reproduce sound with the highest degree of accuracy.

A highly advanced digital data - acquisition measurement system operated with software developed and written by Paradigm® researchers
